Recycling, Compostables, & Garbage
The City of Chilliwack promotes waste diversion by providing convenient recycling and composting programs. Waste diversion for residents and businesses is achieved through a combination of public and private sector initiatives.
Beginning in April 2020 the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) will begin implementation of a new bylaw that will require residents of multi-family complexes, commercial businesses, and others to sort all recyclables and compostable materials leaving their property.
