This is a FREE ADMISSION show for every art lover in our region and for visitor tourists. The show is a joyous celebration of colour, on display at the O'Connor Group Art Gallery, and presented by the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association, until August 6, 2022. Paintings are by Chilliwack resident, Hussein Rostum. He says his goal is to create colourful paintings that intrigue, engage, and inspire people to make art and beauty an ongoing part of their lives, as it has always been in his.

Beat the heat in the shade! Walk ~2 km (round trip) along the flat and graveled Luckakuck Creek Trail which runs along the interface between urban areas, agricultural land, and intact wildlife habitat. Along the way, learn to identify common trees and plants, discuss invasive species, hear about the fish and wildlife that live in and around the creek, and see what an oasis streamside areas can be on hot days.

To commemorate this momentous occasion we are having a kickoff party on the evening of Thursday August 4th featuring Default with all original band members! The Fair will continue the celebration from Friday August 5th to Sunday August 7th. The culture and heritage of Chilliwack is what makes our community strong and unique. The Fair is an opportunity to celebrate all that the community has to offer and despite being the foundation on which it was built, the Fair is about much more than agriculture. We are proud to feature many local artists, organizations and businesses throughout the Fair. Opportunities to participate in the Fair are countless, whether as a 4-H member showing a favourite animal, an entrant in the annual Fruit Pie Baking Contest, an event sponsor, or a volunteer in any capacity during fair time. The Tour de Cure, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation is BC’s largest cycling fundraiser with over 2,000 participants expected. All will enjoy a beautiful ride through the gentle rolling terrain of the Fraser Valley. It all culminates with a celebratory finish and BBQ at Heritage Park.

The event will be filled with determined cyclists of all kinds, cheering supporters, and an overwhelming sense of community and companionship.
