The Chilliwack Community band are performing for the Battle of Britain Ceremonies on SEPT 22nd at 1:00pm at the Chilliwack Memorial behind the MUSEUM.

The Chilliwack Songs of Praise Orchestra(CSOPO) is a group of enthusiastic musicians including full woodwind and string sections. The CSOPO usually performs at 6 different venues in a season. The format always includes numerous Sing Along favourites. Upcoming is a special at St. Paul's Church on School Street November 3, at 3:30 pm. Next is a Christmas special at the Alliance Church on Young Road. Hope to see you there.

Generation Health is a FREE 10-week healthy lifestyle program for children and their families. We will be meeting once a week as of February 3rd, 2020 at the Chilliwack YMCA. This program covers various topics related to healthy living such as healthy eating, physical activity, goal setting, body image, self-esteem and more! Families who participate in this program will receive a FREE 6-month membership to the YMCA. The Compassionate Neighbourhood Health Partners Society (CNHPS) is offering six 3-hour FREE educational workshops for those interested in volunteering in their neighbourhoods.

You may take the workshops without committing to volunteering. Everyone welcome!

Coming to O’Connor Group Art Gallery from March 27 to May 2 is Behind Closed Doors featuring artist, Krista Kilvert.  Krista explores the truth and consequences of domestic violence and its impact individually and globally in a thought-provoking installation.

Join the Friends of the Chilliwack Libraries Society on the first Wednesday of every month. This volunteer organization supports the library through advocacy, fundraising and assistance with various projects and programs. New friends are always welcome!

All "uked" up and no place to jam? All levels of experience are welcome at our fun and relaxed ukulele circle. This program is in partnership with the Chilliwack Academy of Music. Space is limited. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Create a container garden with Kiss the Earth Herb Company, tailored to the amount of time and space at your disposal. Learn which exotic varieties grow best in the Fraser Valley and discuss the many ways you can use your fresh herbs. Suitable for all skill levels. Are you a senior, an individual with disabilities or someone living on a modest income? An outreach officer from Canada Revenue Agency will be in the library lobby with information materials that highlight benefit and credit payments available to you, how to apply for them and other CRA services.

Explore goal setting, intentional living, and life balance approaches through this popular tracking, planning, and creativity outlet. This is a workshop suitable for all levels of experience. Charis Camp, Chilliwack presents it's 4th Annual Mud & Obstacle Course Fundraising Event With Music, BBQ, Prizes, Coffee, Muddy Memories & a Free Easter Egg Hunt for the Kids! Starting Friday, April 3 through to May 3, 2020. Climb your stairs, use a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, trampoline or skip rope. You can dance, do yoga, workout videos, lift weights, stretch, jumping jacks, lunges, sit ups and push ups. Currently we are in a quarantine situation due to the COVID-19 virus. In this situation it is very important to remain fit and have a great immune system. Yes, remaining indoors to avoid infection is necessary whenever possible BUT that doesn’t mean you can’t be active and KEEP MOVING! We are still serving our community! Please help us to do so. On Friday, April 17 at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre, the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra & Chorus celebrate their 20th anniversary with a Gala Concert! Join Paula DeWit and the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra & Chorus at 7:30 p.m. for an evening of music that will take you down memory lane with several choice selections from their very first concert and other favourites since. Ages 5 – 14 – Groups are divided into a younger and older group and each group will have a class on Wildlife Art and a class on Environmental Education (which includes mostly outdoor exploration), with a short 15 minute break between classes.

Wildlife Art: This is an intensely fun program for artists of all levels. Our engaging instructor John LeFlock will provide individual mentoring and support as students move forward at their own pace. All materials, including art canvases are provided, and multiple mediums will be explored.

Environmental Education: This hands on environmental education program introduces and connects students to the natural world. Participants will enjoy learning through environmental games, hands on science activities and outdoor explorations. This is a science based nature experience. Possible spring topics may include: Plants, Pollinators, Ecological Principals, Geology, Song Birds, Nocturnal Critters, Reptiles & Amphibians Life-cycles, Wildlife Observation, Herons, Beavers, Insects and Spiders, Pond Exploration, and Eco-Games.

The Chilliwack Giants present their annual Spring Camp on Saturday, April 18th at Townsend Park from 9am-1pm. This family friendly event is a great opportunity to learn a little bit about football, play some games and make some friends. Registration is only $15 per person and includes lunch and a T-shirt. Join Sardis Library and Blue Heron Reserve staff for a birding adventure! This program will begin with a short presentation about the Heron Reserve and the animals that make it their home. Next, join us for a guided walk to learn about the different species of birds that visit the feeder station. We will also visit the Heron Colony to watch these amazing birds in their natural habitat. Join other butterfly lovers as we welcome our new baby butterflies (caterpillars) to the library. Learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, make a butterfly craft and enjoy a butterfly storytime. The larvae will live at the library and you can return as often as you like to see the differences in growth from one day to the next. You may even witness the moment a caterpillar becomes a chrysalis! After a short time as a chrysalis, the butterfly emerges.

Based on the true story of the Yorkshire women who pose for a calendar to raise money for cancer research, Calendar Girls has become the fastest selling play in British theatre history. After the previous year’s fundraising calendar, featuring local bridges, raises a paltry sum, the members of the Knapely Women’s Institute persuade one another to produce a charity calendar with a difference. They decide to pose nude for an "alternative" calendar. Puzzling their husbands, mortifying their children and riding the wrath of the outraged WI, the calendar becomes a huge success, sparking a global phenomenon. A very English story with a very English heart, Calendar Girls is quirky, poignant and hilarious.

Relax, energize and rebuild strength in a playful and welcoming environment. Learn calming baby massage and stretch techniques with an instructor from Inner Vision Yoga.
