Description: The BCRMTA, an association of professional private music teachers, has been active in Chilliwack since the mid-1940s. We have 23 teachers who live and teach in the communities of Chilliwack, Rosedale, Sardis, Promontory, Ryder Lake and Hope. A wide range of teaching styles is offered in piano, violin, voice, organ, percussion and trumpet as well as all theoretical subjects required for Conservatory examinations. We offer opportunities to perform in community recitals and provide bursaries for exceptional performances in examinations and the Chilliwack Lions Music Festival.

Chilliwack Academy of Music (CAM) Music

Description: The Chilliwack Academy of Music has provided high quality music instruction for the Chilliwack community since 1979. Operating as a non-profit charitable society, the Academy has an enrolment of approximately 650 students from newborn through adult who are taught by highly trained and experienced faculty, and is a member of the B.C. Association of Community Music Schools.
Notes: The CAM Registration Office is open from Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Chilliwack Country Jammers Association Music

Description: Acoustic Country Music style Jam Sessions are held commencing at 7:00pm on every Saturday at Chilliwack Senior Recreation Center
9400 College St. The jam is open to acoustic musicians of all ages. You must bring your own instrument but amplification is only permitted for instruments like stage keyboards, violin, nylon string guitars, ukulele, harmonica etc. P/A equipment and microphones are provided. You do not have to sing as instrumental performances are permitted. Guests and spectators are also welcome.

Fraser Valley Philharmonic Society's Philomusica Chorus Music

Description: Philomusica Chorus, operated under the auspices of the Fraser Valley Philharmonic Society, is a Chilliwack mixed community chorus dedicated to inclusiveness, and performance of seasonal choir repertoire from many world traditions. No auditions are required. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at Chilliwack Secondary School.
