Description: The Canyon to Coast Event has been created to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and to showcase the incredible Fraser River, Cheam Mountain Range and Chilliwack's surrounding landscapes. It is a family friendly event! Island 22 Park and the Canyon to Coast Trail showcase the beautiful landscapes of Chilliwack. Our event routes are mainly flat with a mix of farm roads and urban style wide path trails. Our course is going to take you alongside the Fraser River, through farm lands and if your doing the marathon, all the way to the Agassiz Bridge. You are going to be looking at the Cheam Mountain Range while running east and north of us is Minto Island. Views to the southeast sweep across verdant farmland to the dramatic soaring Cascade Mountain range in the distance. We have a Marathon 42km route, a Half Marathon 21k route, an 11km route and or a 4km route to choose from. Our Marathon Route is an out and back to the Agassiz Bridge, the 21km and 11km routes are also out and back courses. The 4km route loops through the trails within Island 22. We welcome all paces and highly recommend this flat stunning course as a first Marathon or Half Marathon. OR for those looking to get a speedy time.
