Bridge Inspection Program
Background Information
Bridge inspections are required to be completed by a qualified bridge inspection engineer to visually inspect the City's 23 bridges and ancillary structures.
Current Works
Bridge inspections are underway. The works will be completed by ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd.
Timeline
Substantial completion is expected in July 2024.
Project Details
Scope of works for this project will include field inspection with traffic control and access equipment and a final report outlining the following:
- An executive summary
- Quality assurance and control plan
- Updated bridge valuation spreadsheet
- Updated load capacities
- Summary of maintenance concerns including estimates and prioritization
Once the report is finalized, the City prioritizes the bridges that need maintenance.
