Sanitary Pump Station #9 (Wolfe Road)

Project Details

The existing sanitary pump station (SPS) has reached the end of its design life and the City is currently undertaking works to install a new duplex SPS as a replacement.

The installation of the new SPS will occur across the street from where the existing SPS is being decommissioned. The new location will allow for the necessary room to conduct regular maintenance activities.

The works include:

decommissioning existing SPS and wet well

involves dewatering equipment (in road) to lower groundwater table due to the well depth being deep
required bypass pumping during the change over from existing station to new station

the project is anticipated to be completed in October 2022

Prest Road Water Main Upgrade
(between Highway 1 and Prairie Central)

Project Details

Approximately 680 meters of iron water main and 90 meters of water main installation has been installed along Prest Road from Prairie Central Road to south of Hwy 1. The also works included connection of all existing water service connections and pavement restoration.

Timeline

final trench restoration work is anticipated to be complete in August.

Chilliwack River Road Water Main Upgrade

Project Details

Approximately 1605 meters of iron water main is being installed along Chilliwack River Road from McGuire Road to Bailey Road. The works will include connecting to existing water service connections and pavement restoration.

Yale & Hocking Sewer Upgrade

Project Details

Approximately 275 meters of PVC sanitary sewer pipe is being installed along Hocking Avenue and Yale Road. The works will include connecting to existing sanitary sewer connections and pavement restoration.

Third Avenue Sewer Upgrade

Project Details

Approximately 250 meters of PVC sanitary sewer pipe is being installed along 3rd Avenue (south laneway) from Nowell Street to Williams Street. The works will include connecting to existing sanitary sewer connections and trench restoration.
