Skate Schedule

For the safety of our patrons, effective September 1st, CSA-approved hockey helmets are now required for children 12 years and under participating in City drop-in skating programs.

Helmets remain recommended for all participants, regardless of age or experience.

Existing additional equipment requirements for drop-in hockey programs remain in effect.

Helmets are available to borrow free of charge at the skate shops at the Chilliwack Coliseum and Sardis Sports Complex.

                         Drop-In Admissions for City of Chilliwack Public Programs do not include skate rentals.

Passes are available for purchase at both arenas. All passes are calculated at 10 skates for the price of 9.

Sensory Friendly Skates! 

The City of Chilliwack is pleased to announce that we have added an additional time to our new inclusive on-ice program for people who are neurodiverse. Join us at the Sardis Sports Complex and the Chilliwack Coliseum for a sensory-friendly skating experience with dimmed lights and softer music.

• Mondays, from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at Sardis Sports Complex 
•  Thursdays, from 3:15pm to 4:45pm at the Chilliwack Coliseum. 

The cost will be reduced to $2.00 per person, including any support personnel attending. 

Public Skating

Public Skating offers recreational ice time for individuals and families of all ages and abilities. Enjoy skating at your own pace in a welcoming, non-competitive environment.

Special or themed public skates may be offered throughout the season. Check the current schedule for session details and upcoming special events.

CSA-approved helmets are required for participants aged 12 and under and strongly recommended for all other participants.

Adult Drop-In Hockey (19+)

Adult Drop-In Hockey is a recreational organized scrimmage for players aged 19 and older. Participants should have sufficient skating and hockey experience to safely participate in game play.

Full hockey equipment is required. Body checking is not permitted, and participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respectful play.

Seniors Drop-In Hockey (60+)

Seniors Drop-In Hockey is a recreational organized scrimmage for players aged 60 and older. Participants should have sufficient skating and hockey experience to safely participate in game play.

Full hockey equipment is required. Body checking is not permitted, and participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respectful play.

Family Stick & Puck

Family Stick & Puck provides children, youth, and their parents or guardians with recreational ice time to practice skating, stickhandling, passing, and shooting skills together using sticks, pucks, or rings.

A parent or guardian must be on the ice and actively participating with their child. This is not an organized game or scrimmage, and body checking is not permitted.

Required equipment: CSA-approved hockey helmet with full cage, hockey gloves and neck guard. Additional protective equipment is strongly recommended.

Parent & Tot

Parent & Tot is a recreational skating session for parents or caregivers with children five years of age and under. The session provides young children with an opportunity to become comfortable on the ice through casual skating and age-appropriate play.

Plastic sticks, foam pucks and balls may be available for use. This session is not intended to be used as a family drop-in hockey program.

CSA-approved helmets are required for children aged 12 and under and strongly recommended for all other participants.

Adult/Senior Social Skate

Adult/Senior Social Skate is a relaxed recreational skating session for adults aged 19 and older. This session provides an opportunity to stay active, enjoy casual skating and socialize in a comfortable, non-competitive environment.

Helmets are strongly recommended.

Adult Figure Skating

Adult Figure Skating provides dedicated recreational ice time for adults aged 19 and older to practice figure skating skills, techniques, and routines in a non-instructional setting.

Helmets are strongly recommended.

Birthday Parties

Celebrate your birthday at Sardis Sports Complex!  
For only $77.61 you get a party room, birthday card, free skating pass for the birthday child, a shout-out over the PA system, and admission for up to 10 children aged 4-12.

Bookings and payments are completed through City Hall only.
