NEW! Sensory Friendly Skate (September - March)
The City of Chilliwack is excited to announce a new inclusive on-ice program for people who are neurodiverse. Starting Monday, November 18, 2024, and being offered every Monday from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Sardis Sports Complex, enjoy a sensory-friendly skating experience with dimmed lights and softer music. The cost will be reduced to $2.00 per person, including any support personnel attending.
Passes can be purchased using debit or cash at the Sardis Sports Complex and the Chilliwack Coliseum.
Passes for Public Skating & Drop-in Hockey are available for purchase at both arenas. All passes are calculated at 10 skates for the price of 9.
Public Skating (September - March)
Sessions are open to all ages. For more information regarding public skating please phone the Recreation and Culture Department at 604-793-2904 during office hours from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm from Monday to Friday.
Adult Drop-In Hockey (19+)
For adults who play hockey already or who are interested in learning the game. Full gear is required and good sportsmanship is a must. Come and check it out or ask Staff about the best session for you.
Seniors Drop-In Hockey (60+)
Open to seniors (60+) who play hockey already or who are interested in learning the game. Full gear is required and good sportsmanship is a must.
Family Drop-in Hockey
Children must wear a CSA approved helmet complete with faceguard, gloves and neck guard. Children must also be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian. Lastly, and although it may be tempting, no body checking is allowed.
Parent & Tot
A special time for parents and tots (under 5). There are always toys on the ice to add to the fun and kids are welcome to bring a hockey stick but no hard pucks allowed only foam pucks and balls. Helmets and gloves are strongly recommended.
Adult/Senior Social Skate
Open to everyone over the age of 19 years who are just looking for a relaxing way to socialize and stay active.
Adult Figure Skating
Open to everyone over the age of 19 years who want to practice their figure skating moves.
Helmets are recommended
for everyone participating in these activities.
