Inclusion, Diversity and Accessibility Action Plan

The Mayor’s Task Force on Inclusiveness, Diversity and Accessibility has created a plan to help make Chilliwack a more inclusive, diverse, and accessible community. The Action Plan focuses on six long-term goals.

Vision:

To support an inclusive, diverse, and accessible community where all residents have the opportunity to thrive.

Goals:

Heart with a heartbeat icon The well-being of marginalized community members
Handshake icon Relationship building with Indigenous neighbours
Stack of books icon       Equity and inclusion education for City staff
Group of people icon   Broader public participation in City processes
  Money icon   Funding opportunities to support inclusion, diversity, and accessibility
  

How we will get there:

The Action Plan lists steps the City can take to get to each goal. Some of these steps are already underway, and others will take time. Read the Action Plan for more information.

Open Door Fridays Report
