Pickle Ball
is the fastest growing sport and
Yarrow is not getting left behind.
We have a very enthusiastic
bunch coming out to our gym
and playing. Drop by Monday
evenings 6:30-9:00pm. and
give it a try. It’s only a toonie
for drop in and all ages are
welcome. There is some loaner
equipment for first timers. For

Pilates
It’s not too late to join Jolene
for Pilates here at the school.
Wed. evenings 7-8pm. Please
bring your own mat and water

Zumba
Certified Instructor-Joan
Koppes. Tuesdays 7-8pm. This
class is suitable for people 14
yrs. and up. If you didn’t already
know Zumba is the really
popular Latin dance inspired
fitness class. The instructor
promises the steps are easy to
follow. Wear running shoes and
bring your own water. Classes
are ongoing and you can come
jump in anytime.
FREE – Basic
Computer Classes
for Seniors
are available with the Chilliwack
Learning Community Society.
Bring your own laptop and learn
how to use it. Class days and

The Basics
Calling all who have always
wanted to learn Spanish, but
haven’t gotten much past ‘hola’.
Join us in creating a class just
for you at the Yarrow Community
School. Please contact us

Adults:
weekday morning or
lunch hour class-Learn the basic
building blocks, and practice
building them Speaking Spanish
in each class in a friendly, fun
and supportive environment.
Parents (or Grandparents) &
Kids
: Get Moving and Learn
Spanish! An active playful way
to learn, using TPR (Total
Physical Response), and small
conversations to build your
Spanish abilities with each class.
DSLR Cameras for
Beginners
Perfect if you are getting a new
camera for Christmas (or know
someone who is) Instructor: Kim
Odell Woodbury. Wed. evenings
7:00-8:30pm. Jan. 29th-Feb.
26th Cost is on $90. for the 5
classes. This course will involve
hands on instruction to help
you get off Automatic and take
control of your photography!
We will cover creative ways to
capture light and emotion in
photos, as well as learn how to
do some professional tricks on
an amateur’s budget.
Adobe Photoshop
‘Elements’
for Beginners – Improving
Your Images. Learn how to
work with layers and access
some of the many creative
tools Elements has to offer. You
must have a version of Adobe
Photoshop Elements to practice
with at home to participate in
the course. Bringing a laptop
to class is helpful but not a
requirement. Instructor: Kim
Odell Woodbury. Tuesday
evenings 7:00-8:30pm. January
28th – Feb. 25th. Cost is $90 for
the 5 classes.
Anyone Can Draw!-
Cartooning with
Stephan Baker
.
Thursdays 2:00-3:30pm. Nov.
28th- Dec. 19th. Cost is only
$40. This class for kids in grades
5 and 6 will teach how to draw
cartoons and turn that into a
comic strip or graphic novel.
Registration available online.
Babysitters Course
Friday, Feb. 21st 9:00am-5pm.
The registration fee is $45 and
it includes the workbook. Kids
age 11 and up should get signed
up right away as this class fills
up quickly. Bring your own lunch
and pencil.
Coming in January…
Basic First Aid (one day course),
Indian Cooking with Anu, and a
Run, Jump, Throw Certification
course (one day).
