Greendale Elementary Community

School Society (GECSS)

is a nonprofit

organization formed to provide

social,

educational

and

recreational

activities for

ALL in our community & beyond! Use of

the Greendale Elementary Community

School’s facilities has been made

possible due to the partnership between

the Chilliwack School District #33 and

the City of Chilliwack. GECSS gratefully

acknowledges funding that is received by

the City of Chilliwack.

GECSS is all about

“Community”

. We

hold Community Events such as Potlucks

or Games Nights a few times a year to

bring together all those who live in this

great area!

Fall & Winter Programming

With the start of the school year, we are

excited to see all the children getting back

into their routines, reuniting with school

mates & teachers and settling in! Our Fall

Programming is a good way for young

& old to try something new or possibly

“hone their skills” on something once

tried!

Greendale Community Block Party

Friday, September 9th from 4-9pm at

Greendale School!

WHO:

Everyone in

Greendale!

WHY:

Community gathering

for ALL to reconnect after a great

summer!

WHAT TO BRING:

Potluck

casserole/crockpot meal and a salad and/

or dessert to share! Also lawn chairs/

picnic blankets and FRIENDS & FAMILY!

4-6pm will be FUN GAMES for ALL

AGES! 6pm Dinner will be served!

Little Kickers Soccer Program

Thursdays year-round! All the info &

registration can be found at

www.littlekkickers.ca

Chilliwack Chitoryu Karate

Mondays & Wednesdays from 6-7pm. Fall

session starts on Monday, September

12th. For more info & to register, email

Acting Outright Drama Program

Mondays from 2-3:30pm. The Fall

Session starts on Sept. 12th for 10

weeks (not Oct. 10th) with a performance

on Tuesday, Nov. 29th. Open to all in

elementary & middle school. Cost is $105/

registrant.

Chilliwack Rhythm Reelers

is offering their “Beginners Square Dance

Class” at Greendale! Starting Thursday,

Sept. 22 from 7-9pm. FIRST NIGHT IS

FREE! 10 week commitment is $50/person

or drop-in rate at $6/person. For more info

call Marv or Iris Woolley at 604-823-7383.

Saturday Dance Class with Chloe

Saturday mornings from 9-11am for 8

weeks! September 24th – Nov. 19th (not

Oct. 8th). Jazz / Hip Hop / Lyrical / Ballet

/ etc. What a great way to introduce some

dance into your child’s life! 9-9:45am for

5-7yr olds / $70 per child. 10-11am for

8-10yr olds / $80 per child.

Food Safe Course

Saturday, October 15th from 9-5pm. Cost

$85/registrant which includes a workbook

and certification for 5 years!

Family Games Night

Friday, November 18th from 7-9pm. Bring

a favorite board/card game that can be

enjoyed by all! Snacks will be provided.

Red Cross Babysitting Course

Saturday, January 14th, 2017 from

9am-5pm. Do you have a child 11yrs

or older who is wanting to start earning

some money doing child care? Then

this is the course for them! Cost $50/

registrant.
