Outdoor Sports Venues

The City of Chilliwack has more than 58 sports fields

and 95 balls diamonds available to the community

for recreational and league play. All groups and

organizations wanting to play on any of these fields

must first obtain a Facility Use Agreement from the

Recreation & Culture Department. Regular sport

groups should contact their league scheduler for

times and fields available.

Twin Rinks

The Twin Rinks Arena, located at 5725 Tyson Road

hosts, two full size sheets of ice, ideal for hosting

large sporting events in both the winter and summer.

The facility is also very popular for kids parties as a

private dressing room is also available (ask about

our special party package).

If you are interest in public skating but do not own

your own skates, there are rental skates available for

your use here as well. Minor hockey, figure skating,

ringette and speed skating are a few organizations

who call Twin Rinks home and the facility also has

two meeting rooms, one with a 30 person capacity

and the other with a 99 person capacity. Both

rooms have audio-visual equipment available to

rent a well.

Portable Display Screen

The City of Chilliwack’s portable display

screen is 10 feet high, 17 feet long

and contains more than 245,000 LED

lights. Just like the screens you

find in major sporting venues, the

City’s portable screen have the

capability of displaying DVD/

video presentations, cable

TV or live camera feeds.
