29 BATS: Out of the Darkness DATE: OCT 31, 2024 TO FEB 22, 2025 LOCATION: 45820 SPADINA AVENUE DETAILS: Most of us are in the dark about bats – their survival depends on our enlightenment. BATS: Out of the Darkness aims to bring the bats of British Columbia ‘out of the darkness and into our consciousness’. The exhibition serves as a reminder of how essential bats are to the environment. It also provides a chance to celebrate these amazing creatures and foster stewardship within BC. This exhibition will be on loan from the Kelowna Museums and its journey to Chilliwack is made possible with the support of Nature Chilliwack. The Witness Blanket DATE: JAN 30, 2025 TO APR 28, 2025 LOCATION: 45820 SPADINA AVENUE DETAILS: Inspired by a woven blanket, the Witness Blanket is a large-scale work of art. It contains hundreds of items reclaimed from residential schools, churches, government buildings and traditional and cultural structures from across Canada.
