Outdoor Sports Venues
The City of Chilliwack has more than 58 sports fields
and 95 ball diamonds available to the community
for recreation and league play. All groups and
organizations wanting to play on any of these fields
must first obtain a Facility Use Agreement from the
Recreation and Culture Department. Regular sports
groups should contact their league scheduler for times
and fields available.
Twin Rinks
The Twin Rinks Arena, located at 5725 Tyson Road
hosts, two full size sheets of ice, ideal for hosting
large sporting events all year round. Chilliwack Minor
Hockey, Cheam Figure Skating Club, Chilliwack
Ringette and the Sardis Flyers Speed Skating Club
are just a few of the organizations who call Twin Rinks
home
If you are interested in participating in one of the many
public skates but do not own your own skates there
are rentals available for you to access at Twin Rinks.
The facility is also very popular for children’s parties as
a retrofitted dressing room is available to support the
special occasion (call 604-793-2904 for information
on birthday party packages). The facility also has two
meeting rooms available to the public to rent. One
of the meeting rooms has a 30 person capacity and
the other room is capable of hosting over 90 people.
Both meeting rooms are equipped with audio-visual
equipment available for rent as well.
Portable Display Screen
Are you looking for a dynamic way to promote a
special event? The City of Chilliwack has is 10
feet high by 17 feet long and contains more than
245,000 LED lights (just like the screens you see in
many major sporting venues). The City’s portable
screen has the capability of displaying DVD/video
presentations, cable TV or live camera feeds. Call
