The Finance Department is also responsible for the development of the City’s annual Financial Plan (budget), preparation of the annual financial statements, the annual review of the Development Cost Charge (DCC) Bylaw, the preparation of the Annual Report plus annual reporting of financial activities to the Province. The Purchasing/Stores section oversees the procurement processes for the City, ensuring a fair and open acquisition process that ensures maximum value for the City's procurement. Finance staff liaise with all City departments and various external organizations, including the RCMP and the Fraser Valley Regional Library, to coordinate the City’s financial activities. 2023 HIGHLIGHTS 23,262 MYCHILLIWACK ACCOUNTS The Finance Department is responsible for the financial management of the City, which includes: 4,656 TAX PREPAYMENT PLAN PARTICIPANTS
