| Description: On December 6, we observe the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. This day was established by the Parliament of Canada in 1991 to mark the anniversary of the 1989 murders of 14 women at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal who were killed because of their gender. Ann Davis Transition Society invites you to participate in the commemoration of the victims of the Montréal Massacre on December 6 at 5:00 PM at Five Corners in Chilliwack. We were recognized by CBC last year as the only organization in BC who has held a vigil every year. We have partnered the past three years with the University of the Fraser Valley and will again this year. |
