Work:

The project objective is to construct a new concrete outlet headwall, which is to include a new horizontal swing gate, trash gate and access platform. This will be constructed in accordance to the design drawings prepared by Associated Engineering that will be released at the tendering stage.The structural crack at mid span will also need to be addresses at this time.The dike will need to be pressure grouted five-meters each side of the crack to prevent any further water erosion to the dike. The crack will need to be epoxy filled to eliminate water egress through the crack. Associated Engineering will also be supplying injection drawings as well as the specification for the grout. In order to provide a water free environment, two coffer dams will need to be constructed on each side of the dike system. The dams can be constructed from materials that meet the guidelines outlined by the Ministry of the Enviornment's Dike Desgin and Construction Guide.The existing slide will need to be removed, which will entail a small amount of demolition work to be carried out on the gate control building. The final result would structuraly stabilize the flood box and the surrounding materials to allow safe fish passage through the flood box.
