Work:

The City of Chilliwack is seeking Expressions of Interest from Design-Build Proponents to develop a new Cultural Centre focused on the arts and cultural needs of the community. The project shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following:

Public Reception/Lobby Area
Art Gallery
Craft and Art Rooms
Offices and Operating Services
Music instruction Studios
500 Seat Theatre
150 Seat Recital Hall
150-200 seat Rehearsal/Dance/Banquet Hall
3 Meeting/Flexible Rooms

It is estimated the gross area of the building would be about 5000 square metres.

Sealed Expression of Interest from complete teams clearly marked with the Proponent's name, address and "Chilliwack Cultural Centre" shall be received by the undersigned at the office of the City of Chilliwack not later than 3:00 p.m., local time, Wednesday, November 7, 2007 and used to short list the Proponents. Proponent teams of individuals not possessing the complete expertise, ie, both design and construction will not be considered. a maximum of three (3) teams will be invited to submit detailed Proposals.
