The City of Chilliwack is seeking Expressions of Interest from Design-Build Proponents to design and construct a paved drop-off area at the Bailey Sanitary Landfill for household garbage and recyclable materials.

- The objective of this project is to improve the convenience and efficiency of the unloading and subsequent handling of garbage and recyclable materials at the Bailey Sanitary Landfill.

- The location of work is the Bailey Sanitary Landfill, on Matheson Road, off Bailey Road, in Chilliwack.

Sealed Expressions of Interest (EI) from complete teams clearly marked with the Proponent's name, address and "Design and Construction of Residential Waste and Recyclables Drop-Off Area - Bailey Sanitary Landfill" shall be received by the undersigned at the office of the City of Chilliwack not later than 3:00 p.m., local time, April 22, 2003 and used to 'short list' the Proponents.  Proponent teams or individuals not possessing the complete expertise, ie., both design and construction, will not be considered.  A maximum of three (3) teams will be invited to submit detailed Proposals.

RFEI documents may be obtained from the City's Main Reception Desk on or after April 8, 2003.  Alternatively, the documents may be downloaded from the City's website at www.chilliwack.com/bids.
