Valley Rail Trail North Phase 2

Construction Timeline:

  • Now Complete (May 2020)

Project Details:

  • The paved multi-use Valley Rail Trail extension spanning from Airport Road to Hocking Avenue was opened to the public May 1, 2020 thanks in part to a Bike BC Grant from the Provincial Government.
  • The trail is separated from the Southern Railway tracks with fencing and features pathway lighting. The completion of this phase now brings the total length of the off-road portion of the Valley Rail Trail to 2.8km from it’s start at Webb Avenue north to Hocking Avenue.
